Sunshine for Seniors can help lower your prescription drug costs. This counseling service will assist in enrolling eligible elders in free and discounted prescription drug programs. This program is implemented through the SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) volunteer network. You may be eligible if:

You are age 60 or older

Your health care insurance isn't covering your prescription drug costs

You need a more affordable prescription drug plan

The Sunshine for Seniors program provides free and unbiased prescription assistance counseling services through volunteers who uphold consumer confidentiality.

Sunshine for Seniors is administered through the SHINE Program of the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and is sponsored locally by Area Agencies on Aging.
