Robert F. Edwards serves as President of the Northwest Florida Area Agency on Aging Board of Directors.  He has been on the Board since 1998, representing Walton County.  Mr. Edwards is retired from the United States Marine Corps. After 30 years of service and brings all the confidence and can-do attitude you could expect from his role as President of the Board.  He and his wife, Anne resides in Freeport Florida.

I am proud to serve on the Board of Directors for the Area Agency on Aging.  Created in 1979, this agency has a commitment to excellence in planning for and evaluating the care of our aging population.  The agency has grown in scope and purpose over the years and has shown to be up to the challenge of a growing population with diverse needs. 

It is our belief and commitment that we can improve the lives of the elderly in Northwest Florida.  We are growing again, with the initiation of the Aging Resource Center and duties of providing Information, Referral, Screening, Long Term Planning and Choice Counseling, all activities designed to help seniors live with dignity and in the environment of their own choosing.
